Cowman, I need a carb kit for a 34 JD GP -DLTX5 carb and a float. Can you get them for me?
If not where's a good place to get em.
Finally got our old GP sporting new rubber shoes and running, but the carb is full of gummy crud. She really didn't want to run at first and put up a hell of a fight including multiple fireballs out the stack. We woke up the neighbors :D

I can EXPLAIN it to you, but I can't UNDERSTAND it for you!

Not the Cowman, but for what it's worth here is the best GP guy in the USA. I fought another and his dang wrong thickness gaskets, finally sent it to Groth and it starts and runs like a top.
Now it was a 29 Ensign, much dif that your dltx, I get my parts from Burrey's Carb, guess Roberts dtlx are good too, just didn't like the new guys attitude at the GOG. Also that is where the ensign gaskets came from, and that bowl and power valve gaskets are very thickness sensitive. Like Cork said I would have never got it to run right with them gaskets. He pulls a 3 bottom plow in high gear with his GP.
Doug has sold out also but I have had really good luck with new owners, Kurt & Mindy Bleke, in fact I have to order parts from them on Monday as I just got 3 JD A carbs today to rebuild.

Just my 2 cents, hope it's of some help.

PS- you might order the 2 drill bits also if you don't have, I think, #40 & #53 I think its the #53 for the secret passage, that's the one that gives the idling problems.

Thanks Bob. I have bought from Robert's before and I do have the drill bits. I'm going to move a copy of your post to the parts bin for future reference.

One can go into a wild country and make it tame,
but, like a coat & cap & mittens that he can never take off,
he must always carry the look of the land as it was.
He can drive his plow through the nigger-wool,
make fields and roads go every way, build him a fine house
and wear the stiff collar, and yet he will always look like the grass where
the buffalo have eaten and smell of the new ground he has trod.
