As we have talked at our previous meetings we want to promote the following year TRAN on our drive - so that means we want to promote 2015 at our 2014 TRAN drive. In order to do that we need to be planning what that route might look like! It doesn't have to be set in stone, however we would like to know the general route we would travel. So, I propose we start discussing TRAN 2015 route here on the forum!

Because we have talked about this route previously I have run a route on the northern edge of Nebraska with these possible stops: Start at Tassell, WY, Chadron, Gordon, Cody, Valentine, Springview, Butte, Niobrara, Obert and ending at South Sioux City. This runs Hwy 20 and 12. I am totally unfamiliar with this area so other input is appreciated and encouraged.

Happy New Years - Hope to see you all at the January 18th meeting!

that sounds wonderful! That would be the Bridges to Buttes Hwy and the Outlaw Trail ... ttes-byway ... enic-byway

There may not be motels in every one of those little podunk towns but there are rooms to be had within less than an hours drive by car or so every night. I want to take a camper and do the whole route!

Howard, I checked and all but one of the towns had motels or bed and breakfast or something like that.

Now when we really get figuring it out it may be different. And you are right, there is usually a town fairly close that does have motels so we will just have to make sure that there are people available to haul to other towns if necessary.

We hope to have an enclosed trailer to haul tractors with sleeping area by then so would just need a ride back to previous town. We definitely want to go all the way in 2015 as we have never been across the north part of the state!
