Here is a report from Benny

Quote:

Wonderful weather on a cloud-less day with a slight breeze produced a great first segment of the Tractor Relay Across Nebraska. Its 29 tractors drivers that drove the 43.5 mile route from Plattsmouth to Waverly today all indicated that they had a good ride. The initial segment of this inaugural event was coordinated by the Elkhorn Valley Antique Power Assn. and the Mid-States Antique Tractor Club (visit their websites). This ride had three rest stops build in along the route with no one drive longer than 13 miles. A combined hour-long lunch break and IH collection visit drew raves from the drivers. All in all, it was a day that will be hard to beat!

he must always carry the look of the land as it was.
He can drive his plow through the nigger-wool,
make fields and roads go every way, build him a fine house
and wear the stiff collar, and yet he will always look like the grass where
the buffalo have eaten and smell of the new ground he has trod.
