 Post subject: Iron wheeled tractor 1st one!

this may bring some excitment, I bought my first iron wheeled tractor yesterday, farmall f12, it has been repowered with a subaru engine - yes its one out of a car. I bought it cause it iron wheeled, its a farmall f12 and its definitely different I will get a pic and post. I think I still remember how to post pics while Im at that i'll put camera memory on disc so I can post a bunch of pics

you going to replace the engine with an original? I have an F12 in skid row that has a Vega engine and transmission added to the front. doesn't run. the guy had to extend the side rails and steering shaft to make it work. I remember him using it years ago.

Have one in side of field that had frame cut and stretched. Guy added pump to shaft for spray unit and tank on rear.
Also know a guy that has a 6 cylinder ford engine in one.

One of my neighbors has an F-20 with a Toyota engine. Real farmerized setup, the engine is chained to the rails, Toyota transmission drives the input shaft to the Farmall trans. I think the connection there is a welded U-joint.
