He is having surgery to amputate the leg he broke last November (2016). They are removing it at the knee. He is going in at 11:00 am this morning....
Prayers would be appreciated...

Prayers for Steve, the doctors, and his family. May he rest in Gods promises and get back to a productive life. Todays artificial limbs are miracles in themselves. God Bless.

My apologies for not being back on in so long. The leg wa aź amputated roughly 9" below the knee. They had me walking the same day of the surgery. 2 days later I went to a rehab facility for 10-11 weeks. I left there walking with crutches on Mar 6th. It took insurance 2.5 months to figure out the payment for the leg but finally got it May 25th. 24hrs later I was walking without having a cane on me. Nearly 3 weeks ago I got my second socket and save for a setback from an upper respiratory infection I'm doing a lot of walking. Summer was real long as I was diagnosed with A-fib and then had 7 abscesses develop with 4 having to have surgery on. Almost lost my father to a brain injury. Surgery resulted and drained 12oz of blood. Hes home and doing well, not 100% but doing well. Changing around some of my iron. Trading an O-4 that I'm setting up for an upper leg amputee in exchange for a Regular NT. In process of adding another pair of O-4's as well as a '39 A. Traded my W-400 diesel for a B, Cub belt pulley and H 9-speed assy. Things are a changing for me. Oh in the midst of all this I'm really working hard on my health. Lost 35 of my target 50 lbs since March. Have a little way to go but feeling much much better.

Sounds like a good outcome from a bad situation. From the sound of it your attitude will go a long way helping in the healing process. Good luck.
