It rained today so we could drive the steamers much although we did fire some of them including the Rumely. The kid that is helping run the Rumely is pretty excited about it. Myself, i think I'd rather be working on stuff than driving it. As we speak a couple of the younger fellows are out making laps with an L Case and an old road grader. Looks like they are having a ball as they did not stop at the show entrance but are out going up and down the county road too.

Sounds like fun! I am planning to go to the Rock River Threshing Show over Labor Day weekend again this year, maybe do a little plowing at it with my old IH Cub Cadet. Too far and too much work to take one of the big tractors. But get to watch them fire up big steamers and hit and miss engines, plus all the construction equipment. Last year they featured Caterpillar/excavating equipment, and there was all kinds of big crawlers and dump trucks from all over the country, Holts, Best, LeTorneau trucks, it was crazy.
