Test run to Greeley, Colo. and back made it with flying colors. Hats off to the UPRR Steam crew for a perfect restoration. Made another trip to Denver today with full train, Ed said it was going to be at Max HP and speed.

I think it was 844 that came through Arkansas in 2011. It made a stop in Hoxie just a few miles from me. Somewhere I've got some pictures. There was a pretty big crowd to see something that is rarely seen in our area. It was an impressive show.

Thanks for posting the video. That was a big project. Nice that is was saved, better yet that it was put in operating condition. That thing got up and moved down the tracks.

We have a little one that runs along the ocean near here. Was a little logging engine. My Son helps out and has his certificate to run it, as an engineer. Most of the time he just helps out....James

I really hope they bring the 844 out here to Minnesota sometime soon, would be beautiful to see. Got to see the Challenger years ago when they had it here. See the Milwaukee Road 261 steamer every once in awhile as they are based out of Minneapolis.
