This is Tire Mountain, and millions & millions of tires SE of Plattville,Colo. Those pits are 25 + feet deep and tires are stacked 6 to10 feet above. Have found some good sets in the tractor tire pits for 20.00 each. I almost cried one time at a guy cutting the bead's on a semi load of new Firestone tire's during that tire joke time.
There is a big water main running down every other roadway with hydrants so they can quickly flood th.4e pit in case of fire.
Guessing them pits are 250 to 350' long and 150 to 200 wide, not sure, but it's a long walk around the top. best was to get there just before he shoved the dumping s into the pit, walked the top and bottom one time for a set of 16.9 x 28's, then found a 80% set 20 feet behind the pickup. Found a like new set of CO OP 15.5 x 38 6 ply 23 degree for my friend, 40.00. Seen a big truck load of new 11.2 x 24 irrigation tires dumped over the side. Then seen a new 18'4 x 42 with a bar broken bead, to this day I hope I never make that tire guy mad. etc.

We were living in Denver when they had the big fire out there. Lots of nasty smoke.
