any more, its easier to see what i actually did, than to predict it. so, yesterday, my big event was helping move heifers through the chutes so that Mark could apply the pour on wormer. i got the old stock trailer out to do some repairs on the side that rusted out, but mostly just measured and got the piece to fix it. we use the trailer to move heifers from the heifer barn to the main barn, after they are checked pregnant. trailer holds 4 of their fat a**es at a time. i thought about going to goodrich's auction, but i didn't see anything listed that i couldn't live without.
nice weather sat and sunday afternoons, so maybe after church and lunch today, i'll putter around in the shop some more.

I have come to the conclusion that although I am not as good as i once was, I'm as good once, as I ever was. Meaning that I get a lot done in short spurts but then I play out and have to rest a while. I was cutting cedar trees out of the fence rows. About an hour of that and I quit (saw was out of gas, chain dull) Then I took peanut and pulled posts in a fence I'm removing. Sunday was the Chapter 12 meeting at St Paul, got home just before dark. long day. Monday I am going to sort off pairs so I can feed them better. Right now I am having to over feed the whole bunch and that needs to stop. also I need to get those cows away from the bulls before they start getting "in the mood"

Mine too Bill, those cows just freshened in the last month. I figure they are safe for a couple weeks and after that you better get them away from the gentlemen. My men were only separated from them by a barb wire fence. They are a little further away now.

I guess It's the weekend. Again. I first found the board crashed. I had never fixed it from my tablet but I found my way in.
Today I rebuilt our old club trailer. It has not been pulled 5000 miles and the hitch was all broke loose. The build that junk pretty light because it never has had a load on it. I am going to pull it to Des Moines to haul Ginger's house. And maybe the motorcycle.

today was the new york farm show in syracuse with my brother mike. 70 degrees when we got there at 830 am, raining and 45 by 230 when we left. lots of toys too big and too expensive for what i need to farm with. i still had a good time visiting with friends i hadn't seen in quite a while. good phone call too.
sunday, i'll check up on what the travelling mechanic accomplished in my shop while i was gone, and putter around there myself most likely. mechanic got the super c and gas 560 running, and got a broken bolt out of steve's H engine block on saturday.
my injured leg is still keeping me away from the cows and silage, for fear of infections from molds and fungus.

It is fun to look at the big toys- Yes they are way out of my league, I am glad you are taking a break from the cows we would rather you heal up and stuff! :)
